Youth Gambling Video Project
An interactive video production created to sensitize youth to gambling issues in their communities and in their lives. Click here to access the full workshop materials and the video.
Odds and Ends is an interactive short film about the community impacts of gambling harms seen through a youth lens. We follow Charlie, a seventeen-year-old high school student, who learns the hard way that people they know are being adversely affected by gambling. Through Charlie and an animated town map that shows up between each scene, the viewers will see how much of the town is being affected by this issue. There are also branching narratives and audience interactions set up throughout the video to engage the viewers and to make it look like they are playing a game, much like what gambling does to its customers. We have made this video to spread awareness about the risks of gambling with an emphasis on the youth community.
